Fostering Young Lives

Things you need to know

We place children's needs at the heart of our service, and we understand that no two kids are the same. Some kids need care for a few days, others for months. Others stay in care up until they turn 18.

No two foster carers are the same either. We aim to match kids and carers so that everyone benefits from the relationship.

As long as you're over 21 and have space for a child in your home (usually a spare room), you can apply to be a foster carer - regardless of whether you're single or in a relationship, gay or straight, working, studying or retired. You may or may not have children of your own.

All of our foster carers receive financial assistance and ongoing training, and support is available 24/7.

Right now we're looking foster carers in Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
